Goobler Brigade!

About a week ago an unspeakable tragedy happened. Rivervale was ravaged and the good banker Donlo Goobler was assassinated.

It just so happens that Donlo was tied with the halfling underground and his assassination pissed the wrong hobbit off!

Distraught by the news (as you can see) Gzuss had to put a plan into action. Here's what a local had to say about the incident:

A plan was put into place! Gzuss got in touch with one his contacts. He needed a few people to do the dirty work

Also, with the consent of local law and office, a mob hit was put on!

The Goobler Brigade was sent to put some hurt on the filthy elves!

Elves are even weak in their taunts!

Even the merchants got beatdown

To make sure the right message was sent, the Capt. and the Lt. were taken out.

This was pure sweet revenge. Not money nor weapons meant a thing but I'm gonna post SS of some uber loot anyway!

We killed Burrower today and picked up some nice things!

Grats to Kurtuul and Dirrk on the Range Items and Retwal on the Cap!

Afterwards we decided it'd be fun to goto a graveyard and get naked...

via Aerin'Dar that is!

Reports say we got him to 35-40%, but I was too dead to get an accurate account. Not bad for our first shot. We'll be trying again soon for sure. STAY TUNED for Aerin'Dar's Corpse!

AoW down, again!

The Avatar of War went down to 55 shadow members tonight, increasing our AoW kill tally to two. This time our clerics ended the fight with at least 40m, the difference that levels and equipment made from 2 weeks ago on our first AoW kill, where the clerics ran out of mana near the end of the fight.

He dropped masks for Jarethsun and Chipp and a ring for Dare:

Earlier in the day around 3am EST, 20 odd members and applicants took down Vindi and Statue, Congrats Bartlot on a Chestplate of Vindication, Cyann and Dawns on Breastplates of Eradication, and Sigga on the ST key.

Also killed after the patch:-
King Tormax: Congrats Chman on head, Lineyal on ST key, peridot fund on Ring of Lightning and Wristguard of Thunder.
Klandicar: Sarcasm on ST key.

Fruity Ogres and Tunare's Reaction...Pikollo strategically positioned.

Tunare: Raylene and Aluu each with the awesome FT5 range item, Essence of Nature. Raizer on the Massive Heartwood Thorn, and Tunare finally coughed up a Fist of Nature, Congrats Haysoos! Edit by Soos: I won't let my monk brothers down. I hope to root multiple enraging mobs onto the rogues. Thank you.

An update is not complete without making fun of a paladin:

While, we're at it, let's take a moment to mourn the loss of the people who died to enrage at the AoW fight. We had one tanked him up till 20%, after the MA died and by the time Stevo took aggro, AoW was down to ~16%. Melee engage, and AoW enrages Stevo turns off attack, and the AoW turns towards the raid.

Squillari dies to AoW, I don't think there is a mob left on Norrath and Luclin that Squillari hasn't died too. Daisan died too, busy playing with his monkey to turn off attack most likely. Septum dies, a ranger using his melee attack instead of range, wtf?! Chipp uses his damage disc just as AoW turns, he was smart enough to turn off attack unlike Squillari, Daisan, and Septum. Talamanthalon, does a shit load of damage and is summoned and killed promptly! Pikollo calls enrage in guild chat AFTER rage is off.

Bad Photo! No cookie!

Ack! I didn't get a SS of our first Arch Lich kill :( I feel so ashamed. I forfeit all my desserts for a week.

Breaking news!
This just in! One of our freelance photographers, Billymopeter Parker, sends this shot snapped in the chaos of the nothingness that follows the mob dying...

Its kind of fuzzy, but you can just make out Bigfoot in the back, sorta blurry.

Anyway... I got the important stuff via links afterwards :)

Morden got a nice shiny idol. Worship it well.

Dunth took home a combo cleaver and Fries with a large shissar bile to drink.

Tritonn replaced some newb gear with a new round thingy... we rogues have never understood the round thingies.

Grats to us on a nearly flawless kill... 3 deaths:
PinkDorf who went linkdead (And then enraged on the arch lich! woot!)
Dorfington, who we must always let die on new ubermobs, its tradition. Kind of like breaking a bottle on a ship hull at the launching ceremony.
Chdorf, who died for reasons unknown.

I find it somehow reassuring, as a non-dwarf, that we only let our dwarves die. Now if we can just avoid getting a class action suit from the short people, after they read these last couple front page updates...

After Arch Lich we popped down to the old hunting grounds in CT... highlight of the night: we rush in to kill the trigger mob just BEFORE the entire pool respawns... I think at most we had 7 or 8 mobs in camp at once, and we were still rezzing/buffing while Squillari frantically tells us all "kill it slow! aieee~"

Grats Dotfund on the robe and tunic, and Rorlan on the bracer.
[evil]hmm... I should make a toon named Dotfund.. would get all sorts of uber droppable junk![/evil]

Reign of Terror!

Nothing is more dangerous than a paladin with a map and a plan. So they say anyway... and in the case of some unfortunate victims tonight, it was true... I met this paladin near Ping Fuzzlecutter's tent in West Freeport. He ran off (I think the gnome scared him) and returned very shortly with about 48 guards chasing him, then he zoned like a little kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. After the guards were done protecting the local populace from the horrors of rats and snakes, they all filtered back to town, except for Sir Lucan (Sir Lucan D'Whatever regards you amiably...) who stayed to chat. Then the paladin came back and ruined the delightful conversation I was having with Lucan. He sent in this shot of his exploits.

Ping Fuzzlecutter made some offhand comment about our heritage so we killed him too. I hope nobody needed any Fuzzlecutter Formula.

Then we moved on to a zone that SC has yet to clear in its entirety... not satisfied to simply stop with the yard trash this time, we moved in to the castle and went straight for the big boys...

LOADING PLEASE WAIT...
You have entered Rivervale.

Damn halfling king isn't good for anything, even dead! But he looked cuter all curled up in a ball like that. We've petitioned that his loot table is clearly broken, but so far no response from the GMs. Damn The Man(tm).

Grats to Caroon on a short sword (now you can destroy that filthy Great Spear of Dawn! woot), Suntzua on a Small Round Shield (we know you always envied the deputies, and even though you weren't there for the faction hit, we saved you a shield. See how much we care? *sniff*), Bartlot on the other Short Sword, and Heilena on the Small Round Shield. Grats Raylene on both the Silver Ring and the Velishoul's Tome Pg.67 (omg! you loot whore!)

Not even the bankers are safe from our wrath! All you shorty-lovers out there can relax: We have indisputable proof that the Goobler family was at the head of the cherry pie smuggling ring, it was just a matter of time before some pie-crazed halfling did them in anyway.

We also managed to bag Ratho Goobler, the shady merchant inside the bank (we have strong suspicions he was involved with the cherry-pie-ring as well), Deputy Antana, and Deputy Sertlin. The halflings now hate us almost as much as we hate them, all thanks to Dare's uber pulling skills.

Your wish is granted.

Then, good deed accomplished, we moved on to seek out similar scum... what name springs to mind? Bouncer Hurd you say? We thought so too... alas, our dreams were quashed, the Kindred Soul Alliance had sent ahead a 49 ranger who managed to steamroll us just as we were buffing and prepping. Maybe we should guildwar on Kindred Soul Alliance now. :) Does anyone know the repop time on Bouncer Hurd? we were jipped. Oh well, we can get him next patch day hopefully.

And, what good day would be complete without a ritualistic killing in the ghost town known as East Commonlands. A Shady Swashbuckler, Bubar, and Sergeant Slate all fell before the mighty Shadow Council.

but we were ripped off on the loot AGAIN! I swear...

Fear us! .. and tune in next week for Haysoos and the Goobler Brigade's terrorization of Kelethin! (Hey, Soos, you promised! You damn well better put it up here too!)

Money Shot!

Zlexak, Cekenar, Sevelak all resting in peace.

We also killed Lady Nev and Jorlleag, making this our first ever NToV clearing, killing all 14 dragons!

Oh, and we also managed to kill this parasite again:

Website back up!

A lot has happened since last update: Burrower x3, IV x2, Tunare, Aaryonar, Ikitiar, Eashen, Feshlak, Dagarn, Kreizenn, Koi, Lady M, Vyemm, Vindi and some other mobs that I've missed.

Since I'm lazy and wasn't at everyone one of these mobs, I'll just show some highlights and L337 strats~

go go pull team!

At some point we pulled 3 flurry drakes into camp too. Unfortunately, I was too busy watching Martha Stewart and being sent to my bind point to witness or screenshot this, drunken back water hick-like strategic, pull.
"After we're done drinkin this here Coors, we gonna go shoot stuff 'n bring it home to Ma! Yeeee HA!"

IV - Burrower - Vyemm - No Witty Remark Update!

IV was beheaded quickly, Grats to people on the loot.

Up next was The Burrower, he went down in a near flawless victory with a perfect tank switch. His loot however was not spectacular, we had two craptastic rings drop.

Congrats Amharghin on the Brilliant Stone Ring and Dunth on the Ring of the Depths.

We headed over to the Temple of Veeshan to pay our old friend Lord Vyemm a visit. Vyemm was the only mob in that zone that we had not conquered but today we were victorious:

His fangs were pulled from his decaying body and handed over to Gruthar and Billymojo.
