A Love Story

A couple days ago we took on the Itraer Vius. This is a mob that's become pretty routine for us but we for some reason on this day we ran into a few problems...or as we like to call them Pre-Success Failures (tm). After our first PSF those of us who could feign death were chilling when we found out Lowe had been dotted by IV. It was at this tragic moment that this touching exchange occurred.

*sniff* gets you right there. Expect a happy announcement from Lowe and Morenfin in the near future!

IV himself was overcome with emotion and while he was reaching for a tissue we managed to gank the robed bastard.

Yesterday after the patch we went to Kael to take another shot at the AoW. The aggro bug caused a PSF on Vindi which made more than a few of us nostalgic. Even with the aggro bug we managed to take out Vindi, Statue, Idol and get the AoW to less than 80% before we were all slain by Verant programming. Here's a shot of the slain statue just because.

Stuff died!

So we killed a bunch of stuff. Here's a pic of CT taking a dirt nap.

Our mage team taking up position for the 10th ring war. YOU SHALL NOT PASS!

We also took out Lendi, Telk, RoS, Sev and some other mobs that I forget since the last update. The rest of the pics speak for themselves.

Temple of Veeshan!

Continuing the tradition started by Daist, this update will include no links to loot but instead my boring rendition of the mobs we killed and the loot that dropped(with no links of course!)

Speaking of Daist, he learns that melee'ing ain't easy!

Plenty of mobs were up in the north wing, so we decided to pay them a visit. We had a rough start which included 4 flurry trains which led to 4 wipeouts, after all the bitching that was directed towards the pulling team, we realized that more then 2 flurries at camp was not good. After learning that little secret, we proceded to single pull flurries to the delight of our guild members! Oh, almost forgot to mention the Koi fight...We're fighting Koi`Doken, it's a long fight, so I decide to leave attack on and go make myself a snack. I come back to find my character at bind point. Apparently, we had 3 drakes that added during the fight, we managed to kill the drakes and go back to killing Koi`Doken when we warp him back to his pond, so we suffered our first wipeout at the hands of Koi`Doken.

I've rambled on long enough, time for the loot!

NToV Named Drakes

Kordy - Shield of the Dragonkind
Gwyn, Sumin - Ring of Superiority
Zech, Glicknib - Runed Fang Necklace
Morden - Silent Fang Necklace
Squillari - Shadow Fang Necklace
Lineyal - Melodic Charm

We also had alot of plate drop while clearing to the various dragons including 2 plate bps, Congrats Whiteluscious and Zech on them.

Ikatiar the Venom

Indee, Audrie - Ancient Wyvern Hide Tunic

Lord Feshlak

Cloner - Amulet of the Storm
Moosha - Boots of the Dead Dream
Raizer - Thunderstone

Dagarn the Destroyer

Dogge - Wurm Claw Pauldrons
Hato - Dagarn's tail

Lord Krizenn

Aluu - Shiny Metallic Sleeves
Raizer - Flame Etched Sword
Dhorrin - Dawncaller

Lord Koi`Doken

Raylene - Bracelet of the Deep Sea
Dunth - Orb of the Deep Sea

Cloner - Frostwrath

Velious Thrown in to Anarchy

Firsts are what this game is about. First Trak kill. First ST key. Seeing NToV for the first time. You get the idea. Well tonight we got to pay some long overdue visits to the Velious bosses and made some attempts that left us all proud of the people we fight beside every night.

When the Statue popped in Kael we weren't thinking a 2 mob raid. We all wanted a shot at the big daddy of Kael himself the Avatar or War. That's right a mob none of us thought we'd be trying anytime soon 2 months ago.

Vindi and Statue were routine quick kills. Grats goes to:

Phaerun - BP of Eradication
Unsacred - BP of Eradication
Jolla - Hammer of Battle
Legan - Hammer of Battle
ST Key - Grach
(I missed the Vindi loot)

We'd never killed the Idol before but he went down like we'd done him a dozen times. The lag was horrendous with almost 200 people in the zone but somehow the clerics kept the cheal rotation tight and the spots were rocking a testament to the outstanding healing team we have. When the AoW pull came in we had a great start and did a decent job of positioning for our very first attempt. The fight went well until the 75% mark when the MT went down. However instead of a massive wipeout we managed to get the cycle back up on our other warriors and beat him down a few more notches. In the end we weren't successful but managed to get him down to 58%.

For us it was a victory and we're looking forward to trying him again now that we have a little more experience. I'm especially proud that after failing to kill the AoW our guild chat was filled with enthusiasm for our accomplishment in taking out the Idol on the first try and getting the AoW down to almost half.

On to Skyshrine and Yelinak a mob we'd never tried before. After a brief introduction he went down on the first attempt. Grats to:

Mistytear - Dragon Tear Earring
Talamanthalon - Dragon Eye Sage Ring
Stuters - ST Key
Jestor - Yeli's Noggin
Sarcasm - Mask of the Dragon Slayer
Falaria - Mask of the Dragon Slayer

The end of the night came full circle with us back in Kael to attempt King Tormax, another mob we'd never tried before. After a false start and a quick zone we took him out in manner which I like to call controlled chaos. Grats to:

Morden - ST Key
Haysoos - Crown of the Kromzek Kings
Aires - KT's Noggin
Bubuu - Velium Encrusted Gauntlets
Seldig - Horn of Hsagra

Was nice to finally catch KT and Rubberneck up so we could add them to our list of kills.

Also killed: Wuoshi
