Finding Good Help is Hard

I cannot tell you how hard it is to come by good help these days for updating the front page of the website. We even have writers in our guild...but do they update the website...oh no. So that leaves, me, the guild leader, responsible for keeping everyone entertained and updated on what we're doing. Don't expect anything witty or clever to come though...talk to one of the real writers out there and get them to post. Anyways, you believe the shit that happens at school now a days? Where was I...

Honestly though, what's the big deal? We always make ogres strip nekkid and dance for us before we let them in guild. Same difference.

The last thing we killed was Zlandicar. It was a great fight and only a couple died. We had a great time waiting before taking out Zlandicar and scored 39 PSCs. Go us. Besides that we got some guants, claw, fra tali, and the other usual stuff. We also went into Plane of Fear and killed Dracoliche and cleared the golems. Grats to those who got items and worked on epics.

Other than Zlandicar we've been in Sleepers...twice. We've killed ALL of the names...yes all...3 of them...twice. It's been a blast every fight. We've had our rag tag crew of 15 SCs tearing it up in there and the fun that it's been. Since we've been up there as of late we've scored 32 Primal Bows (Yes, even our Wizards are working on fletching now and have /petitioned for Endless Quiver.), 1 Primal Warsword, 1 Primal Battle Axe, 1 Priceless Fist Wraps, 1 Priceless Warsword, and 2 Priceless Spears.

Raylene talks about how she is all sweet...she wishes guildchat would always keep a nice G rating...then out of no where came this in guildchat...and our perceptions of her now lay with that of Glicknib.

Points to ponder...

Lastly, for all of your viewing pleasure, I decided to post some wonderful pics that Dogge shared with the guild. Thanks goes out to him for catching our most prize moments.

Our guildchat takes on a MA rating after 1am.

SC’s rednecks...all walking around with loaded shotguns!

Yawn, Kland and Zland Down

We've killed Klandicar twice, Zlandicar once since the last update but this update will mainly focus on Cazic O'Toole which the ShadowsTM assassinated last night for the first time. The fight was absolutely amazing, we killed him on our first attempt with everyone in the guild doing there jobs and then some. We had some positioning problems mid-fight but lucky none of us melee's had pressed attack and went afk to make a sandwich, it took no time to get him back into position. Congratulations Shadow Council on another guild first!

Congratulations to Daist on the eye, Vulpeckulla and Warram on the cloaks.

Sometime in the last week, we got Phaerun this beauty from Sleepers:

WANTED: Wild Dragon Wrassling Ogres!

Killed Zlandicar. Grats Heelerr on the ST key, Grats Raziiell on the tali for shroud of the dar brood. Grats Bignbad and Aamanlrone on the first brood tali's, Grats errr Sumin I think on Zlandi's heart.

WANTED: Wild Dragon Wrassling Ogres!
Thas right! The ogres of the Shadows boast that they can 'ride anything with scales on', Dragon Riding is the ultimate test of courage and strength. It is the most dangerous event in Norrath - not only from the ride itself but from a dragon after the 2 minute ride. This can be all the more dangerous if the ogre is hungry or is injured and canibalizing on the ground.

A successful ride on a top bucking dragon seems theoretically impossible. Their strength and agility, weighing up to 13 tonne or more, puts the odds firmly with the dragons.

The fact that dragon riders do regularly make winning rides on these spectacular beasts is a tribute to their skill and - above all - their intense concentration and 'focus'. A top dragon rider needs lots of weight, a good spear to spur into the dragon, and lots of strength - there is no time to think (they are ogres after all).

So get down and dirty with the Shadows of fast moving wranglers. This wildly popular event gets teams of pretty, young male ogres and brave, strong female ogres from all over Norrath competing to see who can take down a dirty dragon the quickest.

1st Gnome Warrior Epics

We also would like to congrat Glicknib on the 1st gnome warrior epic on TT! And then we got Moneaone the 2nd gnome warrior epic on TT!

Disclaimer: We at the Shadow Council have no control over the gnomes and what they do. Always take the proper precautions when meeting or doing business with a gnome. We cannot take responsibility for their actions with their epic blades, however, if you do have problems, please inform Warram @ The Barb Cave immediately.

Killed Dozekar early in the weee hours of the morning. What fun. Congrats to Squillari on the Serrated Dragon Tooth, Caroon on the Cloak of the Firestorm, Sumin on the Buckler of Insight, and Ziktin on the White Dragon Statue.

Adventure into Sleeper's Tomb

Our rag-tag force stepped into Sleeper's Tomb for the first time this past week starting a new era for the Shadow Council.
We farmed ST key dragons with one sole purpose, to equip our casters and healers with weapons from Sleepers so they can melee mobs and increase our DPS.

You can imagine our joy when this spear dropped and with no hesitation, quickly awarded it to Grogz, our shaman. We then headed over to Old Sebillis to drop Trakanon, nothing new there.

The forces then assembled in Kael Drakkel to behead Derakor the Vindicator.

Lininya ninja'ed the talisman, see you in sleepers! Incon grabbed the Vindi BP, Congrats!

I get some pulling advice from Xaver:

The Adventures of Squirrel Nuts

Can you say busy day? Yes, that's what we had yesterday clearing the lands of Norrath of such uglay beasts.

Caroon got the Poison Tear for the Cloak of the Firestorm. Treehugging assling, you may know him as SunTzua grabbed the Emerald Tear to finish up Buckler of Insight, faction pending. Pikollo finished up his quest and is now the proud owner of the Earring of Living Truth.

Phaerun ninja'ed the Klandicar Talisman, see you in sleepers!

Gorenaire also dropped a white scale that went to Jestor to finish up his epic, Congrats Audora on the bag.

Lastly, I wanted to give you all an update on what our hero Squirrel Nuts has been up to. Lately he has been getting a big head and is getting much more daring with his anal probs. As you can see here, without the backing of the might Shadow Council, Klandicar eats Squirrel Nuts for dinner. Of course this could just be a clever disguise that the cunning Squirrel Nuts is playing. Playing possum to get to the rear cavity of Klandicar? I think not.

But Squirrel Nuts was able to get his jollies in our last slaying of Trakanon as you can see here. Trakanon has now fully been treated and tested.

Besides the aforementioned mobs and lewts, we've killed Trakanon twice, Congrats Heelerr on the Donal's BP, Arryena on the BloodEmber BP, Pikollo on the Poisoned Mantle, various people on the Trak Teeth for their VP key, Haysoos and Ghimn on the undead dragon sinew.

Shiner grabbed a Willsapper from Vaniki. Wuoshi, Innoruuk, Kelorek'Dar were also put to rest courtesy of the ShadowsTM.

Further Congratulations go out to Aamanlrone and Audora for hitting level 60.

Some points to ponder:

Only the most in-depth strategy goes into the officer channel:

Way to take down a dragon #562: Have all ogres ride it until it just falls dead.

Here's a screenshot of our most interesting Trakanon killing:

Zlandicar Falls to the Shadows

21 of our 37 soldiers were level 60 for this fight, at the peak of their power, all their training preparing them for this battle. We made final preperations just before mdinight, setup and ready to remove this cursed dragon from the world. Finally set to spring like a coiled snake we got the call to surround. Invisibility went up on all our warriors and we quietly moved into place without Zlandicars knowledge. We were ready to strike, and strike we did, with all our power. Everyone was suddenly plunged into battle, and I rushed from my hiding spot to hide under his belly and work my magic. Quickly the fearsome dragon was brought down to one quarter of his life and then the slow process of finishing him began. All the casters had used their mana in bringing him this low and the DoT's were still doing their damage. What very few warriors we had left however managed to bring him down and at the last only 8 of us stood to see him fall. A close fight indeed, but all whom died, died GLORIOUSLY in BATTLE! Hurrah to the champions!
