There is a first time for everything in EQ, and today was the first time for us to go after Velketor the Sorceror. It was a six to eight minute fight. Moneaone and Dagin died when Velketor was at half life. Velketor then turned on Shiner and he began building agro as everyone else stopped attacking. Soulsabre shouted to attack again and Crellin shouted for everyone to lay the bastard low with damage disciplines and nukes, 3 minutes later he was running. It was a flawless switch for clerics to the secondary tank and we took that bastard out like we had done it a hundred times before. Congratulations everyone on our first Velketor kill! Loot included a Bone Bracelet of Condemnation, gratz Crellin; a Bone Ring of Condemnation, gratz Valintia; Velketors Spell Book, gratz Rekka; and a Snow Storm Mask, gratz Lizardka.

Just how many people does it take to wipe out Lhranc for the final fight of the Grave Lord epic? Well, aparently less than we took to City of Mist. We had aprox. 34 people show up to support Phaerun, Grave Lord of the Shadow Council, on her final mob for the Innoruuks Curse. No better quote could be used to describe this fight than something Phaerun herself said. Lhranc has been killed by the Shadow Council like a_moss_snake_01. A huge congratulations to Phaerun on her epic!

Started the day with some Temple of Veeshan action. We caught wind that Inny was up, 2 and 1/2 hours later, Inny had been slained.

The Inny Fight

This was by far the most exciting Inny slaying the shadows have ever done. I was pulling Inny's guards when I aggro'ed Inny, no problem, I /q out while the rest of the guild camped out. As soon as I log back on, I see Inny run like a madman from his room towards our camp. My initial thoughts were along the lines of, Oh f*ck. We camped a cleric while the rest of the guild tried to kill this "add". Most of us were buffless, there was no CH order setup, no preparation whatsoever was done. We get Innoruk slowed by a shaman who's being two-boxed by our Main Tank(Great Job Big!). With druids/shamans/pally's spot healing everyone from the knockback damage, clerics somehow managing to get somekind of an impromtu CH order setup. Melee's laying the smackdown on Inny. In the end, we had 2-3 deaths, and Innoruk died like the add he is(stealing someone's quote). Everyone knew there role, and everyone performed there role exceptionally well.



Congratulations to Alphas on the stone from Inny to complete his epic(the reason we went up in the first place). Congratulations to the people who got loot.

No news really, just a bunch of people hitting 60. Congratulations to Warram the Warlord, Stalkerella the Grave Lord, Caroon the Crusader, Phaerun the Grave Lord, Squillari the Assassin, Dagin the Assassin and Badbear the Oracle.

Hey kids, its story time with Crellin! Today we here in the Shadow Council stayed up real late at night, way past our normal bed times. Our mommys and daddys were very unhappy with us, but we told them NO! See, when Shadow Council wants to kill something, we stay up as late as we want! It was 5am EST this morning that Severilous was sighted defiling the Emerald Jungle of Kunark. It was about 15 minutes later that 34 Shadow Council dragon slayers showed up and prepared to give Severilous a thourough spanking. Everyone got to floating with some healthy DMF action from the necro's and some harty buffing went on between the enchanters, shaman and clerics. Next thing we knew, in comes the big old bad ass! Ready to take many sharp pointed objects in the many new orifices we tore for him. So ended the great dragon Severilous, and fat loots for all!

Well after reading Saberial's post that we killed Vindicator, I thought it was only justice that I expand a bit. No offense to our news reporter Saberial, as him and his pimp Dogge are always on top of news for the guild but I felt we needed to color it up a bit for the enquiring minds. It's not like we eat Vindicator for lunch everyday as it may seem.

So as we had planned for a few weeks, Vindicator was tonight and lets just say that the Shadows™ came out of the woodwork. Yes, we had over 70 members at one time in Kael. It was a party but was a little bit too much of robotic style dancing when you looked at the mass of people, if you know what I mean. Well we took a shot with this ungodly amount and even with lag got him down below the last 'D' of his name. He was at about 4% health. Pretty crazy considering our MT dropped like a bad habit at 50% of Vindicators health as well as a few clerics off the start. So after some revamping we dropped about 15 or so people (thanks to them for being good sports and wanting to help) and made our second attempt. This time we could at least claim that we didn't zerg the over-sized coca cola can. So this time our MT went down in about 1 second, our lives flashed before our eyes, "uh-oh" became the cliché, and we got him down to about 99% health, and most camped out. Kick ass job if I do say so myself. Finally, the last attempt we evened the playing field and kicked the guy's ass, SC style. 41 people left standing. It was by far the largest success for the guild of Shadows and the biggest rush of our EQ career. I think I speak for most of us that we couldn't even care a less how ph3t the l3wt was because the rush from the kill beat the shit out of anything.
