The Journal of Warram

I hate Velks. Goddamn soloing monks running around like a rat infestation. I swear I'm gonna run along that GD ridge some day and there's gonna be a big multi-colored circus tent covering the entrance with a guy standing out front, "Sorry you can't go in there, we're fumigating for monks..." I'm partnered with a friend and we're chillin' out just to the right of zone where the two spiders spawn behind the little wall nook-thingy. All night pullers from other groups had been dive bombing in a desperate attempt to find mobs to pull, and every time there handn't been any spiders there. Still pretty rude, but I didn't feel like arguing with people over nothing, however it wasn't helping my mood.

Anyway I'm hacking away at a spider when this monk races past me and disappears behind the nook. Pretty standard deal execpt he doesn't come out and my spider is almost dead. I finish it off and walk over to inpsect the scene, knowing the confrontation I'm about to have. Here's Twaing, 57 unguilded monk standing there fighting a spider so as not to alert me that he's in my camp killing one of the two stinking spawns that I had believed I could call my own.

I walk up and simply say, "wtf?"

There was another spider pop, then this truly beautiful moment takes place:

I just stood there and took in the pure beauty and irony of the situation.

Of course, afterwards the unending stream of tells bashing me, my guild, my mother etc etc went on and on forever. I manage a hearty, "I'm sorry that was just funny as shit." and when he of course decided he'd had enough yelling at me with the ever so powerful "THIS COVERSATION IS OVER" (he was really talking to himself) I just said, "/salute" and continued killing.

Some days you just can't take the shit.

Yet on rarer days, the innocent sunbeam of righteousness pulls a cloud aside to warm your shoulder as you go about your day, almost like an old walking buddy. Thank you, cosmic justice, for this moment that was quietly enjoyed with a simple, tight grin.
