Well, it sounds like this is yet another person who just had his bubble burst. Probably had a level 20 cleric and thought the rogues were striking it rich and not paying him for the Cats Eye Agate's he used on symbols, so created a rogue to get even. Or he might have just been a slightly disillusioned young rogue. No harm, no foul.
